Sumter Today: The public gives input on what they want for the future of downtown

Sumter residents came downtown all week for drop sessions and open houses to give input on the Downtown Sumter Master Plan, an actionable design blueprint being developed by consultants TSW, an Atlanta-based group that designs walkable spaces for small town downtown areas. The public took part in interactive visual surveys where they could show what kind of street space they like and what type of residential, retail and green space they want all before the consultants eventually bring it all together for the city planning department to use going forward.
