Sumter student's essay wins 2 honors

Kalaiyah Rhodes-Dingle, who attends Lemira Elementary School, was honored by the Sumter Elks Lodge for winning the state-level essay competition with her essay on "What the Bill of Rights Means to Me." Her essay also won second place in the entire nation at the Grand Lodge level.
