Sumter schools closed Tuesday; curfew set for Monday night

Due to the loss of power, all Sumter School District schools will remain closed on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Sumter School District plans to reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 12. If anything changes, the district will post an update on its Facebook page and website and send out a new notification.
The Sumter School District Board of Trustees will still meet on Tuesday at 6 PM at the District Office.
Sumter city and county officials have declared an 11 p.m. curfew for Monday night through 5 a.m. Wednesday.
