Sumter police search for man wanted for pointing firearm after fight

A Sumter man is wanted for reportedly pointing a firearm at another man following a fight that occurred Monday afternoon.

At 4:30 p.m. Monday, Quantez Jenkins, 18, of Hudson Street, reportedly pointed a gun at a 48-year-old man following an argument that turned into a fight between the two at a North Guignard Drive business, said Tonyia McGirt, public information officer for the Sumter Police Department. He is wanted for pointing and presenting firearm.

Jenkins reportedly ran from the scene by car. The make and model of the vehicle in is unknown, McGirt said.
