UPDATE: 2 in custody in connection to robbery at Sumter bank

UPDATE: As of 12:45 p.m., two suspects are in custody, with the assistance of Sumter County Sheriff's Office, according to Sumter Police Department.

An investigation is ongoing after a reported bank robbery Saturday morning.

Officers with Sumter Police Department responded to reports of a bank robbery at Wells Fargo on Broad Street at about 11:15 a.m. on April 19, according to Tonyia McGirt, public information officer for the department. An undisclosed amount of money was taken, McGirt said.

No weapons were presented or shots fired, and no injuries were reported, McGirt said.

Officers are pursuing leads in the case. More information will be released as it becomes available.
