Sumter Police Department empty of protesters as curfew takes effect

The Public Safety Complex is seen empty outside Wednesday for the first evening since Friday. The Sumter Police Department is seen below as officers sit next door at the Sumter Fire Department, left. Protesters had been gathering each night starting on Saturday to voice their opinions over the death of George Floyd without arrests or physical violence on either side.
