Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell and United States Marshals Service are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a Sumter man who is suspected of wounding seven in a mass shooting.
Sincere Gibbs, 18, is wanted on seven counts of attempted murder, three counts of instigating a riot with a weapon, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and one count of aggravated breach of peace in connection to a shooting that occurred on Saturday, March 29, according to Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting occurred during a party in Orangeburg. Seven people were wounded during the gunfire and several others were trampled as chaos ensued, according to the sheriff’s office.
Gibbs is out on bond from an alleged armed robbery that occurred in Sumter in 2024, according to Sumter County public index. He disabled his ankle monitor on March 12, 2025, Ravenell said.
“These could have just as easily been murder warrants instead of attempted murder,” Ravenell said. “This individual is dangerous because he didn’t care who he hit.”
Gibbs is 6 feet 2 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in Sumter County and is to be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Gibbs’ whereabouts is asked to call Orangeburg County Communications Center at (803) 534-3550.
