UPDATE: White turned himself in to Sumter Police Department.

Sumter police officers are looking for a man wanted in connection to a shooting that happened Friday night.

A warrant has been issued for Tiobhan (pronounced toh-beye-n) Jarod White, 34, of East Liberty Street, after he was identified as a suspect in connection to the shooting of a 38-year-old Bishopville man outside Friendship Apartments on Calhoun Street around 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to Tonyia McGirt, public information officer for the department.

Investigators say White was driven to the complex in a black 2004 Cadillac Deville. The vehicle was seen leaving when gunfire started, McGirt said.

A victim was transported to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, where he was treated and later released.

According to McGirt, the incident is considered isolated, and officers are working to locate the suspect and determine what led to the shooting.

A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
