Sumter deputies search for suspect in connection to county burglaries

A 20-year-old man is wanted in connection to a burglary in the Pinewood area.

Willie J.N. Green is wanted on charges of second-degree violent burglary and third-degree burglary, according to Mark Bordeaux, public information officer for Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Green allegedly stole numerous items, including a four-wheeler, from a residence in the Pinewood area on March 28. Nearly a month later on April 24, witnesses said Green forced his way into an unoccupied residence, according to Bordeaux.

Investigators have collected evidence and started making arrests in these cases.

Green is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 155 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He also has his right nostril pierced.
