Sumter deputies responding to active shooter situation at Kolb Road home

Update: The subject is in custody, according to Deputy Adrienne Sarvis, public information officer for the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

An active scene where an armed subject has barricaded himself inside a residence in the Kolb Road area close to Pinewood Road is being handled by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies are currently on scene making contact with the subject in an attempt to resolve the situation, according to Deputy Adrienne Sarvis, public information officer for the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
Other people who were inside the residence have gotten out, Sarvis said. No injuries have been reported.
