Sumter photographers are inviting the public to see their work at a local college through March.

Members of the Sumter Digital Camera Club chose their favorite photographs for their third exhibit to be displayed at The Gallery Upstairs, in Building M500 on Central Carolina Technical College's main campus at 506 N. Guignard Drive. This year, there is no theme for the exhibit, and viewers can stop by the gallery Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A reception for the new exhibit was held Monday night. Anyone can see the exhibit through March 31.

Many of the framed photographs are available for purchase from individual photographers.

The camera club was started by Chris M. Moore in 2005. It now has more than 140 members who share their photographs online through Facebook and learn more about the hobby together through planned day trips, local walk-about photography events such as to Swan Lake-Iris Gardens, dinners and monthly classes in the Sumter area. Its current administrators are John Shreve, Jeff and Nancy Byer and Sandy Laney.

Those interested in photography who would like to become members can visit the club's Facebook page and request to join the group. They will then be contacted by an administrator.
