Sumter Braves win

The Sumter Braves won the 10U SC Open State Championship in Lexington on Sunday. The Braves beat the Lexington Local Boys 8-7, the Columbia Canes 9-2, the Newberry Sluggers 20-5 and the Canes 14-6, Zy Dennis led Sumter with six hits, including three doubles and a triple. Jack Gordon had five hits, including an inside-the-park home run and a double. Sumter will next be playing in the USSSA World Series in North Myrtle Beach.
