Students working hard ahead of annual district arts showcase

Posted

Students have been enjoying Sumter School District's annual REACH program, meant for students in grades 3 through 11 who have been identified as gifted in the arts, including visual arts, music (chorus) or theater. Students are involved in an intense study of their art area in June, after which a showcase is held in the Sumter High School auditorium. The showcase this year will be Wednesday, June 19, with an art exhibit opening at 5 p.m., music performance at 6 p.m. and theater production at 7 p.m. The showcase is free and open to the public.
