State Seal of Biliteracy winners from Sumter High School, Crestwood High School and Lakewood High School were recognized by Sumter school board on Monday, May 19. A nationally recognized credential, the Seal of Biliteracy demonstrates a student's high proficiency in assessments in English and at least one other world language. Juniors and seniors can earn the award. The seal can allow students to earn college credit at some colleges.
