State troopers seek help identifying suspect in pedestrian hit and run in Sumter County

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a pedestrian hit and run in Sumter County.
A 23-year-old man was the pedestrian struck by a black 1994-1997 Honda Accord 4-door sedan traveling south on Scales Road near Alston Road at 10 p.m. on May 14, said the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
According to highway patrol, the vehicle fled the scene traveling south on Scales Road towards S.C. 261 North Kings Highway. The vehicle may have damage to the passenger side; the passenger side mirror should also be missing.
