Spencer named SCDOT commissioner representing 5th Congressional District

Sumterite Curtis M. Spencer was recently named a South Carolina Department of Transportation commissioner representing the 5th Congressional District.

According to a news release from SCDOT, Spencer works in real estate with American Forest Management/AFM Real Estate and has assisted clients in the sale and acquisition of rural property, timberland investments, farms and recreation tracts for more than 20 years. He is licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.

A Clemson University graduate, Spencer enjoys serving his community and state in various capacities and previously served on the board of the South Carolina Conservation Bank. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.
