Ansley Paige Smoak of Pinewood and Dr. Taylor Jordon McFaddin of Sumter were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Sumter.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Charles Avin Sr. of Sumter and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Douglas Smoak of Cope, and the granddaughter of Mrs. George Mark Bostock of Bowman, Mrs. Diane S. Bean of Lexington, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Everett Smoak of Cope, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Avin of Sumter and the late Mr. George Mark Bostock of Bowman. She graduated from the University of South Carolina-Sumter with an Associate of Arts degree and is certified as a surgical technologist from Central Carolina Technical College. She is employed as a safety support coordinator at Thompson Construction Group, Inc.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Lee McFaddin of Sumter, and the grandson of Mrs. Ellen Anderson McFaddin of Manning, the late Mr. Jack Ellis McFaddin of Manning, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Albert Baak of Sumter. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree and from Methodist University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is a physical therapist at Southern Lakes Therapy, LLC.

The Rev. Brian Lamar Gray of Pinewood Baptist Church officiated.

Music was provided by Mr. L. Travis McIntosh, organist and pianist; and Mr. Joseph Raymond McIntosh, soloist.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Mrs. Jessica Collins Creel served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Elizabeth Hannah Moorer, Ms. Allison Grace Enright, Ms. Emily Madison Hughes, Ms. Harley Michaela Avin and Mrs. Jennifer Jones Skinner.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Bryan Lewis McDaniel, Mr. Randal Douglas Hiers, Mr. Charlie Segars Barnes, Mr. James Williamson Barnes, Mr. Bryson William Johnson and Mr. William Owens Smith. Ushers were Mr. Logan Christopher Ingram, Mr. Cody Harrison Lee, and Mr. Shane Alexander Riles.

Mrs. Cynthia Coward McIntosh served as director and Mrs. Sarah Segars Barnes as florist.

The reception was given by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Avin and Mr. and Mrs. Smoak, at La Piazza in Sumter.

The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at The Main Room in Sumter.

Following a wedding trip to Key West, Florida, the couple will reside in Sumter.
