SLED'ing into Summer, Write On! camps offered at USC Sumter

Students entering grades 5-8 have two fun summer camp options at the University of South Carolina Sumter. SLED'ing into Summer is a camp led by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and Write On! is a camp focusing on creative writing.
SLED'ing into Summer,  taught by representatives from SLED, will explore the world of criminal justice including tactical operations, SWAT, aviation, K9 programs and forensics. The camp fee is $30 per student and will be held June 24-28, 9 a.m. to noon, in the Reynolds Gallery of the Williams-Brice-Edwards Administration Building.

Write On! camp, taught by Vincent Frontero and Dr. Paige Wallace, will feature imaginative writing workshops, character development, nature writing campus expeditions, slam poetry, scavenger hunts and more. Writing camp is $100 per student. It will run July 8-12, 9 a.m.-noon, in the Lecture Hall of the Arts and Letters Building. For more information, contact Dr. Paige Wallace at WALLACBP@mailbox.sc.edu.
