SHYRA LYNN BOYNES

Funeral services for Shyra Lynn Boynes will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 182 S. Pike East, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. Aureila Hill, pastor, and the Rev. Ricky Simmons officiating.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Shyra was born on Jan. 6, 1971, in St. Thomas, Virgin Island, to Austin Boynes and the late Joan Blyden.

She departed this life on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, in Sumter.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Uniquega James; two sons, Rasheem James and James Major; her father, Austin Boynes; a sister, Crystal Bo-Brown; four brothers, Keith Andrews, Troy Andrews, Shawn Hodge and Austine Boynes Jr.; two granddaughters, A'nya James and Ariel James; and a host of other relatives and friends.
