GABLE - Sheila E. "Betsy" Watts, 56, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning.

Born on June 17, 1964, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Warren Othel Watts and Mary Lou Robinson Watts. Ms. Watts was a member of Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a devoted school teacher for more than 30 years and specialized in early childhood education and children with special needs. She was also a national board certified teacher.

"Bet Bet" is survived by her siblings, Diane Fulton, Gerald Watts (Kathy) and Mitsy Scott; nieces, Christy McLeod (Jason), Mary Bowman (Brandon), Kayla Watts (Josh), Tori Friel (Mike) and Shannon Scott; a nephew, Will Fulton (Mary); great-nieces and great-nephews, Savanna Bowman, Holley Friel, Johnny Fulton, William McLeod, Harper McLeod and Alex Fulton; and countless family members and close friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Reed, the Rev. Mike Lowder and Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Horse Branch Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Turbeville.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Watts, Brooks Robinson, Hal Watts, Donnie Watts, Bert Watts, Chad Brown and Ike Ard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Brown, Gavin Brown, Douglas Ard and William Ard.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 620 One Mile Road, Gable.
