SHADAE L. SPANN

Shadae L. Spann was born on Aug. 2, 2000, in Sumter, a daughter of Craig and Hope Spann. She departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020.

Shadae accepted Christ at the age of 12 and joined Bible Way Church of Atlas Road in Columbia under the leadership of Pastor Darrell Jackson Sr. Shadae was a multi-talented individual. She played the piano, violin, soccer, softball and basketball. Shadae excelled at everything she put her mind to do. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. She graduated with a 4.3 GPA from Sumter High School. Shadae pursued her degree in biology at Claflin University. She was a junior with a 3.8 GPA in the honors program. Shadae planned to further her education in dentistry and become an orthodontist.

Shadae leaves to cherish precious memories: her parents, Craig and Hope Spann; two brothers, Jean Claude Spann and Takoda Spann; grandmother, Annie Mae Johnson; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

Shadae was preceded in death by her grandparents, Deacon Harold and Deaconess Azalee Johnson of Conway, who adored and loved her wholeheartedly.

There will be a family and friends walk-thru from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Job's Mortuary Inc.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park, 803 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter, SC 29150 with Pastor Darrell Jackson Sr., eulogist, and Assistant Pastor Randall Jackson officiating.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family requests no visitation at the home.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
