Letter to the editor: Sen. Johnson knows how to get things done for S.C.

Election Day is fast approaching. We've got important decisions to make.

Our current state senator, Kevin Johnson, representing Sumter and Clarendon counties, has served in the body for 12 years. Prior to that, he served in the state House of Representatives and also served Clarendon County and Manning in local offices prior to that. He was the mayor of Manning and on the the school board. He has distinguished himself in every office he has held.

Sen. Kevin is both approachable and practical in his approach to public policy. He knows how to get things done for our community as well as our entire state of South Carolina.

During these demanding times, we need a steady hand who can make informed decisions based on decades of service to our community.

Based on my decades of experience in the state Senate, I endorse Kevin Johnson for reelection as senator for District 36.
