ROSA MAE HODGE BRYANT

MANNING - Rosa Mae Hodge Bryant, 81, widow of Hubert Edward Bryant Sr., died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at her home.

Born on Aug. 11, 1940, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Sidney and Bernice DuBose Hodge. She was a life-long member of Home Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by four children, Brenda Bryant of Sumter, James Richard Bryant, Rose Bryant Pace (Larry) and Kenneth Olin Bryant (Hope), all of Manning; five grandchildren, Crystal Johnson (Scottie) of Blythewood, Shane Green (Taylor) of Sumter, Douglas Pace (Abbie) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Sigmon Bryant and Katherine Bryant, both of Manning; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sidney Hodge (Louise) of Manning and Joe Hodge (Barbara) of Sumter; a sister, Bobbie Browder (Sam) of Manning; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Hubert Edward "Hubie" Bryant Jr.; a brother, Henry Hodge; and two sisters, Ann Kinney and Gwen Stribling.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Home Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. Allan Glass, Bennie Barwick and Douglas Pace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Rogers, Rob Hankins, McDowell Geddings, Wayne Watts, Jay Hodge and Sam Browder.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and other times at the residence, 2017 Hodge Circle, Manning.
