Rosa Ann Benbow-Henry, 62, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.

Born April 16, 1948, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Retus C. Benbow. She attended Clarendon County public schools and was a 1974 graduate of Scott's Branch High School. She joined Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church in her youth and remained faithful until her health began to decline. She was joined in holy matrimony to Robert C. Henry and on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, an adopted brother, two godchildren and a son-in-law.

Survivors include two sons, Charles R. (Janet) Green and Charles A. (Patricia) Henry; two daughters, Rosetta (Willie) Felder and Cynthia Henry; five sisters, Willene Johnson and Millie Benbow, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., Frances (Milton) Riles of Greenville, N.C., Sarah (Columbus) Conyers of Paxville and Allean (James) Sanders of Summerton; five brothers, Leon (Daisy) Benbow of Summerton, John (Sallie) Benbow and Willie J. (Sarah) Benbow, both of White Plains, N.Y., Daniel Benbow of Greenville and Willie L. (Equality) Benbow of Brooklyn; six sisters-in-law, Barbara Benbow and Rush Richburg, both of Brooklyn, Susie Henry of Summerton, Thelma Henry of Coco, Fla., Elizabeth Simmons of Kingstree Nursing Facility and Phyllis (John) Bardliving of Calumet City, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Eddie Lee Henry of Summerton; an uncle, Joe Hicks of Scranton; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven godchildren; and an adopted grandson.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. William T. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
