Robert "Blease" Cain, 90, widower of Viola Mack Lemon Cain and previously married to the late Leola Montgomery Cain, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Providence Hospital, Columbia.

He was born Jan. 20, 1920, in the Jordan community of Manning, a son of the late Willie and Irene Dixon Cain. He worshipped regularly at Laurel Hill AME Church. He was a truck driver for Georgia Pacific and retired with 42 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Viola Lemon Cain of the home; four sons, Robert (Roberta) Cain of Philadelphia, Pa., Willie L. (Henrietta) Lemon of Orangeburg, Eddie Lemon of Manning and Darrall Lemon of Columbia; five daughters, Barbara Jean (Stanley) Seabrook of Columbia, Gloria (Jerome) Pugh of Manning, Linda (William) Scott of Eastover, Janice (Charles) Brown of Hopkins and Thelma (Preston) Threatt of Orangeburg; two brothers, Willie Cain and Jeffery (Denise) Cain, both of Manning; two sisters, Ruth Ann Hall and Alfreada Carter, both of Philadelphia; 24 grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren; and seven sisters-in-law.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Laurel Hill AME Church, M.W. Rickenbaker Road, Davis Station, with the Rev. Silas Spann, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.

The family received friends at the home, 6699 Moses Dingle Road, Manning.
