RENA L. MCKNIGHT

Funeral services for Rena L. McKnight will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at First Baptist Missionary Church, 219 S. Washington St., Sumter, with the Rev. George Windley Jr., pastor and officiant. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.

A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Rena, affectionately known as "Boot," was born on Oct. 27, 1983, in Sumter, to Teressa Price McKnight and Willie McKnight Jr.

Rena was preceded in death by grandmothers, Ethel Mae Bacote Price and Anna Ruth McKnight; grandfathers, Eddie Price and Willie Herbert McKnight Sr.; two aunts; and three uncles.

Rena departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, in Sumter.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her parents, Willie and Teressa McKnight; one son, Rasheed Willie P. Frierson; nine aunts; six uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends, who are deeply saddened by her passing.

The family is receiving friends at 323 Mooneyham Road, Sumter.
