Readiness report, finances before Sumter School District board

The superintendent's report on school readiness for the beginning of the year and financial reports highlight Sumter School District's Board of Trustees' virtual meeting set for Monday.

A district staff member placed the agenda online Friday for the media and general public's viewing.

Superintendent Penelope Martin-Knox will give her report to the trustees. The district's first day of instruction for students, which will be fully virtual, is Friday.

Since their monthly board meeting on April 6, the district has kept all meetings closed in-person to the public. All people wanting to attend meetings virtually have been able to do so via YouTube Sumter School District Board Meeting and the district's Facebook page, @SumterSCSchools.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
