RACHEL DEANNA ASHWORTH

Rachel Deanna Ashworth, 82, widow of James J. Ashworth, died on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at home.

Born in Roxboro, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Rachel Dixon Ashley. Mrs. Ashworth was a retired secretary for Designs by Gloria & Pat.

Surviving are two sons, Tony D. Ashworth (Doris) and Jason C. Ashworth (Kristie), both of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Vonnie Joan Brown, in July of 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her honor.
