Letter to the editor: Projects will lay foundation for growth, prosperity

As board chair of the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce and manager of Hyatt Place, I am proud to endorse the Penny for Progress campaign. This initiative represents a strategic investment in our community's future, fostering economic growth, infrastructure improvements and quality-of-life enhancements that will benefit all residents.

The Penny for Progress campaign aims to leverage a small sales tax to fund crucial projects across Sumter County, including road improvements, public safety enhancements and recreational facilities. These investments will not only improve the daily lives of our citizens, but also make Sumter a more attractive place for businesses and visitors alike.
