Portion of Raccoon Road will be closed next week for pipe work; detour set

MANNING - A portion of Raccoon Road from U.S. 301 south to the intersection of Oak Grove Church and Loss Brook roads will be closed the week of Sept. 9.

According to the Clarendon County Department of Transportation, Clarendon County will be replacing a pipe alongside Raccoon Road during that time.

The closed portion of Raccoon Road will be only accessible to residents who live in that area. No through cars, trucks or other vehicles will be allowed on that portion of Raccoon Road. Motorists will be rerouted east on U.S. 301, south on S.C. 260, right onto Oak Grove Church Road and then south onto Raccoon Road at the intersection of Oak Grove Church and Loss Brook roads.

Work on that portion of Raccoon Road should be completed before or on Sept. 13.
