Police: Manning man dead after shot near Paxville nightclub

Paxville – A 35-year-old Manning man died early Sunday morning after being shot near a nightclub in the Paxville area of Clarendon County.

Officials say Bryant A. Bowman was shot multiple times and that he died as he was being transported to McLeod Health Clarendon.

According to Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley, deputies responded around 3:29 a.m. June 6 to reports of a shooting at Club Hollywood. Baxley said the deputies found the incident location was 11166 U.S. 15, which is located across the street from the nightclub.

“This is an active investigation, and anyone who may have seen or heard anything about this incident is asked to please come forward and contact the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office,” Baxley said.

Baxley said callers do not need to identify themselves to leave a tip.
