PEARLIE S. HUDSON

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Pearlie Starks Hudson, 73, wife of James Hudson Jr., died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Jackson Memorial Hospital North, North Miami Beach, Fla.

She was born Dec. 26, 1936, in Summerton, a daughter of the late Rev. Charlie and Roseanna Mellerson Starks. She attended Clarendon County public schools.

Survivors include her husband, James Hudson of the home; two sisters, Ethel Lee Muldrow and Willie Mae Ragin, both of Miami; and one brother, John (Evette) Starks of Manning.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Melina Presbyterian Church, 3539 Black River Road, Sardinia, with the Rev. Carnell Hampton, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, John and Evette Starks, 3256 Raccoon Road, Manning.
