Mrs. Patricia Eleise (Altman) Reaves, adorably known as Patty, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and members of the extremely supportive and caring Four Seasons Hospice Team.

Patty was born Oct. 7, 1935, in Johnsonville, South Carolina. She was a daughter of the late Ryon and Vera Altman. Patty was a member of Home Branch Baptist Church, Manning. She was a caring woman who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from Campbell Soup after 25 years of service; her favorite past times include reading and spending time with her family.

Survivors include a daughter Debra “Debby” (Charles) Hearn of Hayesville, North Carolina, and two sons, Ryan Reaves (Ann) and Roy Reaves (Brenda), both of Sumter.

Patty is survived by seven grandchildren, William “Tad” McIntosh (Jennifer) of Sumter, Devon Hones (Josh) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ryan Reaves Jr. (Tiffany), Kayla Richards (Chris) of Sumter, Anthony Hearn (Emily) of Fort Payne, Alabama, Mindy Steele (Steven) of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, and Cindy Ross (Chris) of Blythewood, South Carolina. She is survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reaves was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Reaves; and four brothers, Dalton Altman, Willie Mae Altman, Carl Altman and Ray Altman.

A memorial service honoring Patty will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024, in the chapel of Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home, Sumter. Following the memorial service, Patty will be laid to rest in Home Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Manning.

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home in Sumter, prior to the services.

Honorary pallbearers include Ryan Reaves Jr., Austin Reaves, Cody Reaves, Christopher Richards, Tad McIntosh and Xander McIntosh.
