OCEANSIDE, Calif. - O'Neal Annabelle Seals Mariner, 90, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at her residence, 3526 Turquoise Lane, Oceanside.

She was born July 13, 1920, in Clarendon County, a daughter of the late Elijah and Florence Richburg Seals. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Elizabeth Baptist Church.

After completing high school, she attended Morris College, graduating with a bachelors of arts degree. Upon graduation, she taught in Kingstree. She later moved to New York, N.Y., and worked with the New York City Department of Social Services and later with the New York City Probation Department at Brooklyn Family Court and retired in 1985. In 1997, she moved to Oceanside to be close to her family.

Survivors are her daughter, Doris (Albert) Nyman; two grandchildren, Leslie and Calvin Nyman; two godsons, Richard White and Darryl Thomas; and a caregiver, Carrie Tanzon.

Wake services were held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Hayes F. & LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 4865 Alex Harvin Highway, Manning. The Rev. Dr. Ashley B. Vaughn, pastor, will officiate. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of her cousin, Gladys Bowman, 4190 Alex Harvin Road, Manning.
