Oliver "Jack" Conyers, 69, died Thursday , Oct. 7, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.

Born Aug. 3, 1941, in Panola, he was a son of the late Jack Conyers and Camilla Spann Conyers. He attended Clarendon County public schools. He was the former owner of Conyers Trucking and Logging Company. He attended St. John Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Garry (Antionett) Conyers of Silver; one daughter, Itrell Conyers of Silver; one sister, Oliveen (Leon) McFaddin of Columbia; one brother, Curtis Conyers of Summerton; four grandchildren, Raven and Desmond Lloyd, both of Silver, Justice Conyers of Manning and LaQuan Bennett of Sumter; four nieces, Kimberly Watson of Manning, Ebony Campbell of Columbia, Erica Hickman of Atlanta and Crystal Conyers of Sumter; and one nephew, Rickey Watson of Manning; and four aunts and four uncles.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at St. John Baptist Church, 2928 St. John Church Road, Manning, with the Rev. Ranzy McFadden, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Community Cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of his son, 6135 Summerton Highway, Manning, and at the home of his niece, Kimberly Watson, 6819 Silver Road, Manning.
