MIAMI, Fla. - Oliver Alexander Cain, 63, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami.

Born Oct. 8, 1947, in the Davis Station section of Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Gwendolyn Cain Geary. He attended Clarendon County public schools. In his youth, he accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Laurel Hill AME Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Danielle Cain and Quanita Cain, both of Miami; one son, Oliver A.Cain Jr. of the U.S. Army; one brother, George "Dell" (Lillie) Cain of Manning; and two sisters, Slyvia (Charles) Davis and Cathy Knight, both of Miami.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Laurel Hill AME Church, MW Rickenbaker Road, Davis Station, with the Rev. Silas Spann, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Ivory Cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, George "Dell" and Lillie Cain, 1178 Cambridge Drive, Manning.
