Nominations now open for November's High School Teacher of the Month, presented by Morris College

Do you or your high school student have a teacher you're especially thankful for this month? You can nominate them now for November's High School Teacher of the Month, presented by Morris College, for their chance to win money and swag.

Nominations are open through 5 p.m. Nov. 23. Then, finalists will be chosen by The Sumter Item, and the public will vote on the winner from Nov. 25 at midnight through Nov. 29 at noon. The winner will be revealed Nov. 30 and will receive a framed certificate, swag from Morris College and a $50 gift card to a local business, all courtesy of the local college.

No subscription is required to nominate, be nominated, vote or win. Eligible teachers should be employed at a high school in Sumter, Clarendon or Lee counties.
