Nominations being accepted through Jan. 18 for January's High School Teacher of the Month, presented by Morris College

Resolve to thank those who help you most in your life. You can nominate your favorite teacher now for January's High School Teacher of the Month, presented by Morris College, for their chance to win money and swag.

Nominations are open through Wednesday, Jan. 18. Then, finalists will be chosen by The Sumter Item, and the public will vote on the winner from Jan. 19 at midnight through Jan. 25 at noon. The winner will be revealed Jan. 26 and will receive a framed certificate, swag from Morris College and a $50 gift card to a local business, all courtesy of the local college.

No subscription is required to nominate, be nominated, vote or win. Eligible teachers should be employed at a high school in Sumter, Clarendon or Lee counties.
