Naomi Fogle Shuler, 84, wife of Thomas Marion Shuler, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born in Elloree, she was a daughter of the late Walter E. and Naomi Rast Fogle. Mrs. Shuler was a member of Grace Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Rebecca Motte Chapter of the Daughters of the America Revolution, and Colonial Dames of the XVII Century. She was the retired co-owner/operator of Shuler's Drive Inn.

Surviving are her husband of Sumter; one son, Thomas Marion Shuler Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Deborah Shuler Teague and husband, Edward F. Teague Jr., and Carolyn Shuler McLellan and husband, Timothy Paul McLellan, all of Columbia; one brother, John Fogle of Elloree; one sister, Grace Fogle of Elloree; and two grandchildren, Lauren Ann Teague and Amanda Carolyn Teague, both of Columbia.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, with the Rev. Steve Shumake officiating. Burial was held at Evergreen Memorial Park.
