Sumter County Museum presents Scholarship and Essay Contest award winners

The Sumter County Museum held its annual Scholarship and Essay Contest Award Presentation on Sunday, March 19. Lillian McNair Lindler, a Thomas Sumter Academy student, received the $1,000 Sumter County Museum Scholarship. Myrtis G. Osteen Essay Contest winners, from left: third place, Jazlyn Lawson, Lakewood High School; second place, Lydia Goff, Lakewood High School; and first place, Annabelle Williamson, Sumter High School. The essay was on the "value of local history to me."
