MANNING – One person died Friday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 95 near midday Friday.
According to Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2018 Harley Davidson and a 2021 Winnebago were traveling south on I-95 about 12:25 p.m. when the motorcycle struck the rear of the Winnebago. The lone person on the motorcycle, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to McLeod Health Clarendon where they died a short time later. The single occupant of the Winnebago who was wearing a seatbelt was not injured in the wreck.
Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell said the name of the deceased would be released after the family arrived in the county.
