Morris College announces Trenita Manigault as Director of Alumni Relations and Planned Giving

Morris College welcomes Trenita V. Manigault back as the Director of Alumni Relations & Planned Giving. Manigault is an alumna of Morris College and is excited to be returning to the role.

"I am thrilled to welcome back to the Morris family, alumna and former Director of Alumni Relations and Planned Giving, Ms. Trenita Manigault," James Tyson, VP for Institutional Advancement said. "Her valuable experience will be put to good use as together we ELEVATE Morris."

Manigault retired from Law Enforcement after 35 years and brings a wealth of experience to Morris College. She is a 1988 Morris College honors graduate who received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Science. She also has her Master's in Human Resource Training and Development and Human Resource Management. Manigault is the oldest daughter of Heyward Manigault and the late Rev. Azaline H. Simmons. She is the mother of Andre Tarell and the grandmother of four: Maleya, Kaelyn, Kylee and Zayah. Manigault resides in Saint Stephen in Berkeley County.

She is a member of New Covenant Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. Edna H. Bryant. At New Covenant, she serves as president of the Missionary Department, Sunday School Superintendent, and gives service as needed. Manigault is also the past secretary and past treasurer of the State Baptist Young Women’s Initiative (Y.W.A.) under the leadership of past State Baptist Y.W.A. presidents Deidre Odom and Debra Jordon. She is a member of the following organizations: Assistant Secretary of Antioch Baptist Association, O.E.S. St. Stephen Chapter 158, Mother Advisor of MBTYGC St. Stephen Unit 158, Alpha Pi Chi Sorority. Manigault enjoys her family, spending time with them, helping people, shopping, and traveling. "I am looking forward to us coming together to support Morris College our ‘Dear Ole Alma Mater’ and strengthening the relationship between the college and its Alumni," she said.
