Kristen Love Miller and Matthew Cole Walton, both of Sumter, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Grace Baptist Church in Sumter.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Neville Hardee and the granddaughter of Mrs. Katherine Harrelson Healan and the late Mr. David Eugene Healan Sr., all of Sumter. She graduated from Wilson Hall, attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia and is pursuing a nursing degree at Central Carolina Technical College.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wade Walton Jr. and the grandson of Mrs. Shirley McLeod Walton and the late Mr. Robert Wade Walton Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Willard Brunson Jr., all of Sumter. He graduated from Laurence Manning Academy and the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality. He is employed as operations manager by Walton Countertops in Sumter.

Pastor Michael Wayne McElveen officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Mrs. Sherril Ray, organist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a two-piece gown designed by Lazaro of ivory petal-embroidered tulle over sparkle net and Chantilly lace featuring a strapless sweetheart neckline, off-the-shoulder cap sleeves, a natural waist, a trumpet skirt with horsehair trim at the hemline and a detachable shimmer tulle skirt with a cascading petal-applique chapel train. She wore a matching veil and carried a bouquet of garden roses, spray roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, Star of Bethelehem, gardenia foliage, eucalyptus and plumose.

Ms. Bailey Nicole Horton served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Jacky Rae Berry, sister of the bride, Ms. Corie Lorraine Walton, sister of the bridegroom, Ms. Jane Elizabeth Segars and Mrs. Rebecca Lynn Strickland. Hannah Rae Wilson and Jadyn Mae Wilson, nieces of the bride, served as flower girls.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Michael Andrew Kinsey, Mr. Joshua Brett Strickland, Mr. Thomas Ray Scott, Mr. Daniel Owen Williams and Mr. Aaron Wendell Rogers. Ring bearers were Jameson Michael Berry, nephew of the bride, and Jaxon Forrest Ray.

The outdoor reception was hosted by the bride's parents on Maplecreek Drive in Sumter.

The rehearsal party was hosted by the bridegroom's parents at The Main Room at Hamptons in Sumter.

Following a wedding trip to Barbados, the couple will reside in Sumter.
