McLeod Health will be offering the Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot to walk-ins only who meet Centers for Disease Control and Prevention criteria.
According to CDC, the COVID-19 booster shots are available for Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine recipients who have completed their initial first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months ago and are:
- 65 years and older;
- Aged 18 and older who live in long-term care facilities;
- Aged 18 and older who have underlying medical conditions;
- Aged 18 and older who work in high-risk settings, such as health care and schools; and
- Aged 18 older who live in high-risk settings, such as correctional facilities and homeless shelters.
Clarendon, Lee and Sumter County residents can receive the Pfizer booster shot on Nov. 11 from 8 a.m. to noon at Weldon Auditorium, 7 Maple St., Manning. Please remember to bring your vaccination card, driver's license and insurance card in order to receive the booster shot.
