Poinsett-Bland Garden Club, member of The Council of Garden Clubs of Sumter Inc., announces May Yards of the Month. Daniel Wealth Management at 234 Broad St., left, was chosen as Business Yard of the Month. Under a covered porch, on the front door, hangs a lovely seasonal wreath in pink and blue which welcomes customers. Attractive wall lanterns flank the entrance, and beneath the lanterns are coordinating floral arrangements. Planters are filled with live greenery. The business' front facade includes neat boxwood and liriope. The attention to detail that Daniel Wealth Management presents to passersby makes a positive impact. The Bowling home at 17 Calhoun Drive, right, is the Homeowner Yard of the Month. This home's well-maintained yard offers year-round blooms and greenery as the expansive front lawn is bordered by camellias and azaleas. A perennial garden, defined by a painted edging, matching the attractive, grayish, cottage-style home, is centered in front of the home. Amid the perennials are pops of color provided by summer annuals such as red and white vinca in the window boxes and geraniums in baskets - all color coordinating with the welcoming red door and comfy-looking rocking chairs featuring red cushions.
