Mattie Margaret McCall Logan, of Alcolu, widow of Sam Oliver Logan, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.

Born June 20, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mattie Nichols McCall. She was a member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church and was well known for her Sunday dinners and homemade biscuits.

Survivors include five sons, Wayne Logan (Vickie) and Larry Logan, both of Manning and Andrew "Bucky" Logan, Ronnie Logan and Kevin Judy (Dawn), all of Alcolu; two daughters, Evelyn "Tutti" Logan of Alcolu and Pamela Collins of Manning; a brother, Johnny McCall of Alcolu; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Pee Wee Logan; a daughter, Jessie Ruth Judy; and twins, Faye and Ray Logan.

Funeral services were held July 25 at the funeral home with the Revs. William Kevin Cribb and Sammy Thompson officiating. Burial followed at Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery.

The family received friends at the home, 1963 Pinecrest Acres, Alcolu.
