Mary Julia "Judy" Brewer, 70, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

Born June 25, 1940, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late John Beniard and Eula Baggette Brewer. She was a retired family court stenographer, having worked for Judge James M. "Mac" Morris, Judge Wright Turbeville and Judge Sep Belser. She was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, where she served as church pianist.

Survivors include a brother, John B. Brewer and his wife, Pauline, of Manning; four sisters, Doris B. Haberkorn and Ann Morris, both of Manning, Kathleen Wise of Sumter and Ruby Styron and her husband, Milton, of Davis, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Marguerite Brewer of Rocky Mount, N.C.; 13 nieces and nephews; 25 great-nieces and nephews; and nine great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Heyward Brewer; and two brothers-in-law, Casper Haberkorn and Cecil Wise.

Funeral services were held July 31 at the funeral home with the Rev. David Carlson officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
