WEDGEFIELD - Mary Frances Exum Walters, 85, widow of Robert H. Walters, died on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at her home.

Born in Nashville, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Lonzie Exum and Omer Lee Varnadore Exum. Mrs. Walters was a member of Wedgefield Baptist Church. She was retired from Becton-Dickinson and Olan Mills Studios.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Driggers of Sumter; five grandchildren, Becky Dockery (Reno), Michael Walters (Jamie), Tasha Barkley (Emory), Robert Odom (Lyndel) and David Driggers Jr. (Anna); 10 great-grandchildren, Griffin, Isabel, Amber, Hailey, Robert Jr., Peyton, Caroline, Caelan, Brooklyn and Avacyn; her significant other, Sidney Smith; and her beloved fur babies.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Earl and Gary Walters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Wedgefield Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Goff officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedgefield Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at 3880 S.C. 261 South, Wedgefield.
