MANNING – A 33-year-old Manning man died in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 95 on Sunday afternoon.
“Timothy McCray of Manning died at the scene,” said Clarendon Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell.
Blackwell said an autopsy will be performed to determine exact cause of death.
Master Trooper Brian Lee with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at 3:10 p.m. on I-95 northbound near mile marker 124. Lee said that McCray was a passenger in a 2013 GMC Yukon. McCray’s wife, Natalie, 32, was the driver of the vehicle.
“The 2013 GMC SUV was traveling north on I-95,” Lee said. “The driver of the vehicle lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the roadway to the left, overturned and struck several trees.”
Natalie McCray was transported to McLeod Health Clarendon.
“The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol,” Lee added.
