Lynch-Coker

Katherine Lorena Lynch of Alcolu and Zachary Scott Coker of Turbeville were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Sumter.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neal C. Lynch of Alcolu and the granddaughter of Mr. William G. Herbert of Alcolu, the late Mrs. Mary K. Herbert of Alcolu and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jason M. Lynch of Lynchburg. She is employed as a special education teacher at Kingsbury Elementary School in Sumter.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. Allison Lanair Coker and Ms. Lucia Welsh Coker, both of Turbeville, and the grandson of the late Mr. Leslie and Mrs. Nell Floyd Coker of Turbeville and the late Mr. Luther L. and Mrs. Anne Reed Welsh of Thomson, Georgia. He is employed as a lineman by Santee Electric in Kingstree.

Mr. Christopher M. Lynch, cousin of the bride, and Dr. Jeffrey D. Burns officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Mrs. Ann Davé, pianist; the Sumter High School Strings Quintet directed by Mr. Michael Baier; and Mrs. Caroline Mack Hill, soloist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Justin Alexander fit-and-flare gown adorned with lace appliqué and delicate beading ending in a chapel-length train with matching hem lace. Her bouquet of white roses, thistle, ranunculus, lisianthus and draping silver eucalyptus held her paternal and maternal grandmothers' wedding rings and a locket belonging to her maternal grandmother worn for more than five generations.

Heather Michelle Lynch, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Kaitlyn Beard Coker, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, and Kelsey Taylor Lynch, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Adrianna Filyaw Lee, Allison Floyd Coker, Hannah Walton Bordeaux, Madeline Rose Cromer, Sidney Erin Craig, Sara Elizabeth Rambo, Judith Anne Gibson and Alli Hiott Redman. Junior bridesmaids were Abbey Carlisle Davis, Lindy Michaela Lynch, Cameron Ashley Lynch and Ruth Anne Lynch. Flower girls were Maddie Marie Cooper, Charlotte Ellison Boykin, Aubrey Raye Boykin and Brynleigh Anne Whittle.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Peyton Matthew Coker, Reed Lanair Coker, Ander Sullivan Lee, Jared Ray Hair, Dylan Landon Coker, Connor Edward Floyd, Edward Ryan Knowlton, William Herbert Lynch, Collin Lewis Lee and Nathan Phillip Morris. Tanner Reid Martin Gay served as usher. Daniel William Chavis Jr., Robert Jordan Rhodes Jr. and Grayson Le Tran served as ring bearers.

Also participating were the bride's K-2 class, The Jungle Jammers, who preceded her down the aisle, and Kipper Edens Ackerman, harpist.

The bride's parents held the reception in the pasture at their home in Alcolu.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at the bridal couple's new home.

Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Turbeville.
